Memorial Day, 2 birthdays and a visit

 Thursday, June 5, 2014

We celebrated mom's birthday on Memorial Day this year! We went out for a late lunch at Red Robin and we both received free burgers during our birthday month. Our server was outstanding, seriously the best we've had in a long time. Mom & dad shared the mile high mud pie and James and I shared dessert and Pi and Chan shared dessert too. Afterwards mom & Pi went shopping while the rest of us saw the new X-men movie! We finished the night with strawberry shortcake with nana and grandpa and presents.

Pi got mom and pretty jewelry holder/stand to hang her necklaces. She was pretty excited.
In other news, Uncle Greg came to town for a visit! He was stopping through with a truck load and we were able to hang our with him on Friday night, Saturday afternoon, and Sunday afternoon.
Friday James and I went on a date while Greg hung out with Chan and Pi.
We tried Palios pizza cafe and went to Yogurtie for dessert. James spoke to the owner in Korean. ☺️
Saturday we went out for a late lunch/early dinner with Uncle Greg to the Great Wall Buffet. It was good! Afterward we went on a walk with Paxton! We also played Apples to Apples. Sunday after church we made Hawaiian Haystacks because it was Greg's first time trying it and he liked it!
June 3 was James' 28th Birthday!
To celebrate we had dinner at Saltgrass with Chan, Pi, Nana and Grandpa (Mom and Dad are on their 25th Anniversary cruise!)

After dinner we ate an ice cream "cake" I made for James. I just took a half gallon of Bluebell chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream and dumped it upside down on a cake stand. I poured magic shell all over and decorated it with icing and chopped Reese's peanut butter cups. It turned out really well and it was 100% ice cream, no cake which James loved. He was surprised and it was delicious! He opened his presents from all of us.
So thankful for my hot hubby and I'm glad we could celebrate his birthday together!
